What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I suppose my magazine is the first one to have a mix of fashion and music in it. However they are closely connected in the contents as the rock bands and musicians talk about their fashion styles etc. I believe there is a gap in the market as there is no magazines like mine so far, maybe except Dazed&Confused magazine, which is published by Waddell Limited and is more focused on the fashion, however quite often it talks about music and the singers/bands.
A company would want to distribute my music magazine because it offers a wide choice of articles, it covers several aspects e.g. photograpy, fashion, music, it provides readers with the useful information about the concerts, exclusive interviews, and stylish modern high-level design. The quality of the magazine is very important as well, people would want to collect the issues.
The reasons why the company would want to distribute my magazine are very simple. First of all, it would be something new on the market, something people haven't seen and read before. Also, it will attract a wide range of advertisers and investors.
Secondly, although the price is quite high, the particular target audience is present, therefore L'Esprit might have it own readers and therefore the company will still be making profit. As I mentioned earlier, collecting the issues is still fashionable, therefore people would be buying every issue of the magazine and that will guarantee a profit.
The investors might be interested also if they will see that my magazine might be helping to sell tickets or advertise big music events and that would be profitable too, as they will be getting the percentage of all the sales.
